Being Intentional about Living
A journal entry from my phone:
Oh my, where do I begin? So much has taken place over the last few months, that sometimes I don’t know if I’m coming or going. So many changes, so many shifts, and a great deal of unwavering emotions. I’m not generally an emotional person, but this new woman that has emerged is way more tuned in, tapped in, and turned on. Sometimes I laugh because I don’t always know how I feel about the shift, the changes that has accompanied the transformation, but I honor and grieve my old self and I hold nothing but endless gratitude to those versions of myself as they have aided me in embracing who I am now.
Change is inevitable and unstructured. It will come in and reconstruct your entire life, and there is nothing you can do about it. When this happens, I have learned to surrender and flow. Things are a lot easier when we just flow. In this new season I’ve entered, I have moments of doubt and fear, mainly coming from my ego, but I do acknowledge the feelings and allow them to pass. This season of my life is teaching me that life begins on the other side of fear, and at this moment I choose to live on purpose.
I figured walking into a new position among many of the other things that were happening in my life, I knew I had to embrace intention, grace, and balance. I’ve been intentional about living on purpose and being committed to myself before anything. Lately, I’ve been intentional about showing up for myself.
Since I’ve decided to live purposely, life has been magical and just plain ole beautiful. It’s not always about doing, but being. Being everything I desire to be. Months ago, I was petrified to experience the change and even be the change, but I knew everything I desired was on the other side and I needed to dare greatly. I find so much power in knowing that I work closely with the divine to narrate my life.
This is the chapter of my life where I continue to dare greatly, expecting to magnetize everything and everyone I am aligned with. This one chapter, this amazingly breathtaking chapter is one of the best to be written, and it begins with me living on purpose!
