Who are you? Who are you? Who are you? Let me ask you again, who are you? Do you know? How can a simple question be so challenging to answer? For years, I had no idea who I was, let alone the purpose of my existence. Everyone struggles with their identity in some way or another. We often attach ourselves and take complete ownership of titles, possessions, and other things we deem necessary to validate ourselves and existence. I’m still learning these things are of no significance, and they do not validate my existence. One day I just awakened…
THE AWAKENING
Awaking: To regain consciousness after being sleep
I had no idea I had been asleep until I awakened to my authentic self. You know, when we are asleep, we are completely unaware. More than anything, this numbed state feels like going through the motions day in and day out. I often lived in a nightmare unable to wake up from pure mental hell! At that point, I realized that hell was not a particular place but a state of mind, and I was there. As I began to reclaim my consciousness, it sparked my awareness of who I truly was!
THE REMEMBERING
Remembering: Present consciousness of a past event; store of personal experiences available to recollection; capacity to recall the past.
I can’t recall the exact moment it happened, but I’m so eternally grateful that it did. One day my soul just opened, and everything I thought I was began to wither away. Something deep in me reminded me that I never lost sight of who I was, I just needed to remember. Life experiences helped me to remember, and it's such a freeing feeling. I find it even more freeing to remember that everything God is, I AM!
THE KNOWING
Knowing: Perceive or understand as a fact or truth.
As I am now awakened, there are some things I just know for a fact; and there are some things I’m working to perceive. In the grand scheme of things, I now understand life is never happening to me, but for me and because of me. With this, I move with confidence, surety, and intentionality as I know this is not my journey but the soul. I'm learning to trust, honor, and love her because she knows the way. She bares no ill will toward me and leads me closer to my heart’s desires. I fell in complete and total love with her; she is absolutely dope and divine!!!
To everyone reading this, may you awaken and remember you too are dope and divine!
As always, the divine in me recognizes the divine in you!

Self-Reflective Questions:
1. Who am I, really?
2. Do I feel worthy of showing up and being seen?
I’m loving these so much 🤍
